Privacy Policy
Effective date: 7 October 2026
Local data
Channels, video information, favorites, watch progress, search history, tasks and preferences are stored in SQLite or system preferences on your device. Your API key and Google sign-in credentials stay in Apple Keychain; credentials are excluded from database exports. The developer has no app backend and does not automatically receive your keys, library or watch history. The app does not download video files or use advertising identifiers or developer analytics.
Google and YouTube
azyt uses YouTube API Services. Live requests send your request details and API key, or OAuth access token for signed-in actions, to Google. Images and the official player connect to Google/YouTube, which may process IP addresses, request information, cookies and playback data. These services follow Google's privacy policy and YouTube's terms. The embedded player uses YouTube Privacy Enhanced Mode and temporary WebView storage. YouTube may still process playback, cookies and non-personalized advertising data.
Google account and permissions
The app displays your Google name and email locally and reads your own YouTube channel IDs to identify your comments and moderate your channel. The youtube.force-ssl permission is used to read, post, reply to, edit and delete comments and manage comment moderation on your own channel. Writes happen only when you initiate them. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising or AI training, or automatically shared with the developer. Use and transfer of Google API information adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Local YouTube data, test samples, favorites and progress remain until you delete them. You can manually refresh live data with a key; deleted or private videos may no longer be available. Delete local YouTube data in backup and storage settings and clear the key separately in API key settings. Updates preserve local data; uninstalling may delete SQLite data. Exported files and system backups are controlled by your chosen file service and operating system.
Sign out and revoke access
Sign out on the app's YouTube account page. To revoke authorization, remove azyt from Google Account third-party connections. Signing out, revoking access or deleting local data does not delete comments already posted to YouTube; delete those separately using YouTube or the app's comment actions.
Test content and children
Public samples from five channels are dated, labeled as test data and can be removed. They are not live information and do not imply affiliation. The app does not create new watch history or resume progress for videos marked as made for kids or whose status is unknown.
Website and support
This website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages without a login form or developer tracking scripts. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, browser and request information for delivery and security. Your email provider handles support emails that you choose to send. The developer uses these messages to resolve requests and removes unnecessary information after resolution; you can request deletion of removable personal data. Do not send keys, passwords or a complete database. Contact the support address below for questions and privacy requests. Material policy changes will be disclosed in the app.
